Goats Leap

India Pale Ale

A tribute to the storied ales that journeyed to India during the British Victorian era, this beer encapsulates the essence of a bygone age.

Crafted to withstand the rigors of long sea voyages and the sweltering heat upon arrival, these robust brews were meticulously designed with elevated alcohol content and a generous infusion of hops. Our IPA is full-bodied and powerful, showcasing a strikingly bitter finish that will satisfy even the most discerning hop enthusiasts.

Brewed with a carefully curated selection of the finest Pale Ale, Maris Otter, Wheat, Crystal, and Cara malts, this exceptional brew is heavily hopped with a harmonious blend of English Goldings, Challenger, and Fuggles hops. The result is an IPA bursting with vibrant hop character, rich aromas, and complex flavours that dance on your palate.

Named after a stunning fishing spot in Karnataka, Southern India, where Jem spent countless hours casting his line in the breathtaking Mekedatu Gorge during the early 2000s, this IPA also pays homage to a legendary tale. It is said that a goat once leapt across the river to escape a leopard at the gorge's dramatic 150-foot drop—a breathtaking sight reminiscent of Cheddar Gorge, but with the added allure of a flowing river.

At 5.5% ABV, this proper English IPA invites you to embark on a journey through history, capturing the spirit of adventure in every sip. Cheers to a legacy of bold flavour!
