Simon joined Cheddar Ales in 2014 having worked in the delivery trade in and around Bristol.

Dennis Weir, Apprentice Brewer

Dennis joined us in December 2021 as a brewing apprentice. A local lad who has had a broad variety of jobs, from the Services to labouring with plenty of experience within the hospitality sector.



Catherine Nicholson, Office Manager

Catherine has worked in sales with national and international brewers and wholesalers for over a decade. She joined Cheddar Ales in 2015.

Joel Hancock, Apprentice Brewer

Joel rejoined us in December 2021 in a new role as a brewing apprentice. He has a wealth of experience within the pub industry but keen to learn how to produce great beer from the grain to the pint.



Max Marshman, Bottler & Barrel Washer

Max joined the team after finishing his GCSEs in 2021 helping in the brewery to process beer from bottling to barrel washing & steaming.



Dave Harris, Brewery Assistant

Dave joined the team in 2019 after retiring from a successful career in Eduction.

Adam Butcher is very much at the heart of the Cheddar Ales team having made his debut in summer 2021. He has taken on the responsibility of running the taproom along with Joe Chard.
